We are seeking a driven and experienced Construction Manager / Site In-Charge to join our team in the Eastern Region. In this critical role, you will play a pivotal role in planning, executing, and overseeing the successful completion of civil construction projects including roads, bridges, drainage systems, and other vital infrastructure. You will be responsible for managing budgets, teams, and all aspects of the construction process, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, design, and execution of civil construction projects.
- Prepare detailed project budgets and schedules, track expenditures, and ensure projects are completed within budget.
- Supervise and guide the project team, including engineers, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks by implementing effective risk management strategies and contingency plans.
- Ensure that all work meets the required standards and adheres to building codes, safety regulations, and quality control protocols.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors, and ensure timely procurement of materials and services.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any concerns.
- Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations and obtain necessary permits.
- Maintain thorough project documentation, including schedules, financial reports, and technical documents, and prepare regular progress reports.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- [X] years of experience in civil project management, ideally in infrastructure or public works projects (discuss specific experience required during interview).
- Proven track record of managing projects from inception to completion.
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, project management techniques, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in project management software such as MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with attention to detail and adherence to deadlines.
- Familiarity with applicable building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
- Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PE) are a plus.
